POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Trade Counter Sales
Representative
 
POSITION REPORTS TO: National
Manager
 
 
LOCATION: 
POSITION PURPOSE
The basic responsibility of a Trade sales person is to provide quality customer service support to all
Totaline branch customers, ensuring their business needs are met by providing adequate technical
and product advice when fulfilling their sales needs. The role also encompass duties of helping out in
the warehouse/store with stock handling and movement
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
Trade Sales
 To deliver best practice professional customer service that ensures customers purchasing
requirements are met and customer satisfaction is assured.
 Keep customers informed of new initiatives , product changes or marketing campaigns
 Provide correct and updated product advice.
 Ensure the Branch is maintained to the housekeeping standards set by the National Manager
 Assist with scheduled and ad hoc stocktakes when required
 Maintain Branch security ( open and lock up ) as directed by the Branch Manager / Branch
Supervisor
 Ensure the highest standard of customer satisfaction at all times ( to be measured through formal
customer surveys )
 To maintain a good working knowledge of Oracle
 To attend all training sessions required and to partake in all external training that is set by the
company.
 To ensure WHS standards are maintained as per the State Legislation and company standards
 To assist with any general administrative and or other duties reasonably assigned by the Branch
Manager / Branch Supervisor when required.
 ITB – (Inter Branch Transfers ) , it is a requirement of the role to be available to work at any other
branch upon the direction of the National Manager , National Sales Manager or Branch Manager
 
Store/Warehouse
 Receiving incoming goods , checking for any damages and discrepancies between goods received
and invoices
 Ensuring the correct labelling of all goods received with locations for storage ,
 Ensuring that all goods received are in the correct locations
 Ensuring the safe operation of all equipment to lift goods to high levels
 
The requirements of this position may vary from time to time in accordance with changing business requirements.
 Ensure the safe operation of all equipment of manual and electronic order pickers and verify items
against packing lists
 Assist with stock take ensuring the accuracy of information recorded
 Package and despatch all outgoing goods in line with the company standards and customer
requirements
 Assist internal customers in a timely manner with internal and external deliveries
 Ensure that all activities are undertaken in safe manner

 Work closely with the Totaline team to ensure a positive and profitable environment and
encourage the Totaline Team members to do the same.

The requirements of this position may vary from time to time in accordance with changing business requirements.
 Actively contribute to an ethical climate within AHI Carrier through proactive responses to any
business practice issues. Specifically you must raise any ethical concerns to the BPO or through
the Dialog program, and complete at least 4 modules of online ethics training.
 
General Requirements
 Maintain Company standards by ensuring personal adherence to Company practices, such as
those detailed in: Email and Computer Compliance policies; and Intellectual Property Agreement.
 Take appropriate care to always represent AHI Carrier in a professional manner (in appearance,
speech, dress, etc.).
 Ensure that the Totaline uniform is worn every day and is maintained in a clean and professional
standard
