Senior Cyber Security Administrator (PAM)

Job Description

Our client is a national not-for-profit organisation in the health sector. We are seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Administrator to be a critical part of our Cyber Security Operations team. This role is essential in protecting our sensitive information and technology infrastructure, ensuring a secure environment for the delivery of vital services. You will be instrumental in the day-to-day administration, monitoring, and management of key cyber security systems, with a strong operational focus on Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and Continuously Improve the organisation's Privileged Access Management (PAM) solution, including its deployment and configuration.
  • Monitor, Triage, and Remediate security events and cases detected on the SIEM platform.
  • Maintain and support the overall security tool suite, including Endpoint Security, Vulnerability Management, and Email Security.
  • Perform incident response activities, working closely with Digital & Technology teams to triage and recommend remediation.
  • Conduct regular security audits, manage user access rights, and verify patch implementation as part of the vulnerability management process.
  • Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure system changes and new initiatives meet security requirements.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call roster outside of standard business hours.
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in cyber security or information security-related roles.
  • Expert, hands-on knowledge and experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM) platforms (deployment, configuration, continuous improvement) in on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Proven experience in alert triage, monitoring, and investigation of security events across diverse environments, ideally with managed SOC experience.
  • Strong operational knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including Active Directory, Windows/Linux, networking, and cloud platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information and the impact of security risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including Executive Management.
  • Familiarity with key security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST CSF, Essential Eight, ISM).
  • Relevant industry certifications (CISSP, SSCP, Security+ or equivalent) are desirable.
