Based in Southern Sydney, this hands-on leadership role is key to ensuring reliable production equipment and smooth operations. You’ll lead maintenance activities, respond to breakdowns, manage contractors, and drive continuous improvements.

Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join their collaborative maintenance and engineering team. Based in Southern Sydney, this hands-on leadership role is key to ensuring reliable production equipment and smooth operations. You’ll lead maintenance activities, respond to breakdowns, manage contractors, and drive continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support maintenance staff to deliver preventative maintenance and rapid fault resolution.
- Act as first responder to machine breakdowns from 2:00 pm and after-hours electrical/refrigeration issues.
- Manage contractors including site access, inductions, and invoice reconciliation.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and control maintenance budgets.
- Conduct daily site inspections and maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports.
- Collaborate with Production and R&D teams to improve equipment performance and reduce labour costs.
- Participate in daily and weekly engineering meetings to review maintenance priorities and progress.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic knowledge in high-speed manufacturing.
- Proven maintenance management experience, including contractor coordination and budget control.
- Sound understanding of WHS requirements and maintenance best practices.
- Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies as required.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Driver’s licence.
- Stable organisation with clear career progression.
- Lead a dedicated team in a critical, hands-on role.
