About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer (Virtualisation SME) to join a core Infrastructure team on a 12-month fixed term engagement.

This is a hands-on, technical role suited to an expert in VMware and virtualisation technologies who thrives in operational environments while also contributing to key infrastructure projects across ANZ.
 
You’ll play a key role in maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the company’s core infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of critical systems that support operations across multiple data centres.

Key Responsibilities

  • Virtualisation: Managing and supporting the Broadcom VMware suite of applications and services, including load balancers.
  • Data Centre Management: Overseeing lifecycle management, support, and renewals for equipment in ANZ data centres.
  • Storage: Managing forecasting, capacity, and renewals across multiple enterprise storage vendors.
  • Hardware & Fabric: Supporting clinics hardware, fabric technology, and overall data centre asset maintenance.
  • VDI Infrastructure: Supporting and optimising VDI environments to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Delivering both BAU operational support and infrastructure improvement projects in line with business needs.
Skills & Experience
  • Virtualisation technologies: Broadcom VMware suite (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, NSX) – expert-level experience required.
  • Storage technologies: Experience across enterprise storage platforms (e.g. EMC, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE).
  • Fabric technology: Understanding of SAN/NAS fabric (Brocade, Cisco MDS, Fibre Channel).
  • Data Centre maintenance: Lifecycle and hardware support for on-premise infrastructure.
  • Hardware maintenance: Physical infrastructure troubleshooting, repair, and renewal planning.
