Job Overview
Sirius is partnering with a leading Financial Services organisation. As the Head of Engineering, you will lead the technology infrastructure and engineering pipeline during a major transformation project. This role involves managing the Engineering and Infrastructure team, overseeing cloud-based applications and platforms (AWS, Salesforce, IAM, WAF), and ensuring the successful delivery of the transformation project. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Engineering and Infrastructure team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Define and implement DevOps best practices and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain DevOps pipelines and tools for AWS services like AppSync, Lambda, Redshift, RDS, etc.
  • Manage Identity Access Management (IAM) and Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions.
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other teams to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide root cause analysis.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in DevOps processes.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or software development.
  • 3 years of experience managing Engineering and/or Infrastructure teams.
  • Strong experience with AWS technologies (AppSync, Lambda, Redshift, RDS)
  • Experience with Identity Access Management 
  • Knowledge of Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
  • Proficient in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
  • Familiar with DevOps tools (Git, Terraform) and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Desirable
  • ITIL, Microsoft 365, AWS, or Azure certifications.
  • LEAN Six Sigma experience or certification.
  • Experience in the financial services industry or regulated environments.
