Field Service Technician – Laser Cutting & Industrial Machinery

Are you mechanically minded, tech-savvy, and ready to take on a hands-on role in a growing, innovative industry?

We’re looking for a motivated Service Technician to join our Sydney-based team.

In this diverse and rewarding role, you'll install, service, and train customers on a wide range of high-tech machinery – including Fiber Laser Cutting Machines, Press Brakes, Linishing Machines, Fiber Welders, and CO₂ Laser Cutters.

You’ll be the go-to expert for our clients – installing equipment, training users on machine operation and software, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing ongoing support. Training is provided, but a background in technical machinery, service, or mechanical engineering is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and service fiber laser cutters, press brakes, and other industrial machinery
• Train customers on machine operation and associated software
• Troubleshoot machine and software issues during and post-installation
• Assist with test pieces, settings adjustment, and customer support
• Provide phone/email tech support and manage service bookings
• Demonstrate machinery to prospective clients in our showroom
• Write user guides, troubleshooting manuals, and support documentation
• Travel Australia-wide with regular trips (expenses covered)

What You’ll Need

• 2+ years’ experience in a service, mechanical, or technical machinery role
• Physically able for hands-on installations
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Some experience with CAD software or graphic design tools (preferred)
• Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, Email)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• A positive, motivated attitude and a willingness to learn
• Current driver’s licence (company car provided)
