About the Role
A well-established construction and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager to oversee day-to-day workshop operations. This is a permanent day shift role where you will lead a smaller, skilled fabrication team and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

This is a permanent day shift role where you will lead a smaller, skilled fabrication team and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily fabrication activities
- Lead and supervise a small team of welders and fabricators
- Allocate labour, machinery, and materials efficiently
- Monitor production progress and address delays
- Ensure fabrication meets drawings, specifications, and standards
- Oversee quality checks, inspections, and documentation
- Manage procurement, materials, and consumables to control costs
- Liaise with engineering, QA, and site teams to support delivery
- Maintain a safe workshop and drive continuous improvement
- Trade qualification in Boilermaking, Welding, or Metal Fabrication
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in structural steel fabrication
- Strong experience within the Australian construction industry
- Proven supervisory or management experience
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications
- Experience with quality management systems and inspection processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with ERP systems
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
- Current forklift licence and overhead crane ticket
