Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from planning and requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance, utilising DevOps patterns.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of developers to ensure their ongoing professional growth and success.
- Actively participate in coding, contributing to the delivery of functional and technical solutions.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance development processes, product quality, and technology adoption.
- Collaborate with departments such as Product, Marketing, and Finance to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Design and enforce best practices for coding, automated testing, and deployment.
- Identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction with delivered solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong hands-on expertise in the following technology stack:
- Angular
- Typescript
- C#
- .NET Core
- SQL Server (T-SQL)
- Azure functions, app services, and other cloud resources
- Significant experience in software development, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
- Experience in the banking or lending industry (highly regarded).
- Solid background in Agile environments, including running Agile ceremonies.
- Demonstrated success in implementing best practices for coding, automated testing, and deployment.
- Proven ability to collaborate with and influence senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Experience in leading or growing a team of software developers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, planning, organisational, and time management abilities.
