We are recruiting on behalf of a leading technology company that has secured a significant contract within the Australian Defence sector. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and dedicated team focused on safeguarding critical information systems and digital assets. We are seeking passionate and skilled Cyber Security professionals across multiple disciplines.
The Roles
We are hiring for the following permanent, full-time positions:
1. Cyber Security Operations Centre Team Lead

• Responsibilities: Oversee the operations of the security operations team, ensuring effective monitoring, detection, and response to cyber threats. You will mentor junior team members, lead cyber investigations, and conduct digital forensic analysis.

2. Cyber Security Assurance Specialists x 2

• Responsibilities: Act as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to oversee the compliance and security posture of assigned classified IT systems. This includes risk management, security vulnerability assessment, and ensuring adherence to frameworks like ISM and DISP.

3. Cyber Security Systems Developer

• Responsibilities: Play a critical role in safeguarding infrastructure through the design, implementation, and maintenance of security technologies. You will install and configure SIEM and EDR solutions, develop threat detection rules, and work with various teams to ensure systems are secure by design.

Key Skills & Experience
We are looking for candidates who possess a combination of the following:

• Proven experience in a cyber security role, with a strong understanding of modern security practices.
• Expertise with security tools such as SIEM (e.g., Elastic) and Endpoint Detect and Response (EDR) solutions.
• Knowledge of Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), ISO 27001, and Defence Security Industry Program (DISP).
• Experience with digital forensics, incident response, and threat hunting.
• Strong technical skills in Windows & Linux systems administration, and a background in scripting/coding (e.g., PowerShell).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Important Requirements

• You must be an Australian Citizen.
• You must be eligible to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.
