We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead sponsorship and exhibition sales for a leading industry events organisation. Responsibilities:
  • Identify and research potential clients, including sponsors and exhibitors, through targeted outreach and industry analysis.
  • Conduct needs-based, consultative sales conversations using proven techniques to understand client objectives and develop tailored proposals.
  • Create compelling, customised proposals and successfully close sponsorship and exhibition deals.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, ensuring smooth on boarding and timely contract execution.
  • Collaborate with team members and project stakeholders to identify new sales opportunities and develop strategic plans.
  • Develop sector-specific industry knowledge and nurture long-term relationships to foster repeat business.
  • Maintain active presence on social media platforms, especially LinkedIn, to share updates, engage with industry professionals, and enhance brand visibility.
  • Oversee on-site interactions during events to ensure client satisfaction and facilitate post-event follow-up.
  • Assist in business planning and contribute to achieving sales targets and strategic objectives.

Experience:
  • Proven success in B2B sales, especially within event sponsorship or exhibition sectors.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales or business development experience, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Experience using sales methodologies such as SPIN Selling and CRM tools like Salesforce or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to build lasting industry relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple prospects and activities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
