Production Supervisor – Plastic Injection Moulding / Die Setter 

Location: Prestons, Sydney, NSW
Salary: $100,000 + Super (Negotiable based on experience)
Hours: Day Shift

About the Company

Our client is a well-established manufacturer operating within the plastic injection moulding industry. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a small team on day shift and help drive performance, accountability, and quality across the production floor.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of 3–4 operators within a busy manufacturing environment. The team possesses strong technical capability and requires a leader who can provide structure, maintain quality standards, and ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.

This opportunity would suit either an experienced Die Setter looking to step into a formal leadership role or an established Injection Moulding Supervisor with strong processing and troubleshooting experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support a team of 3–4 production operators.
• Drive accountability, productivity, and adherence to company procedures.
• Ensure all production activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate machine setups, die changes, and production scheduling requirements.
• Troubleshoot processing issues and minimise machine downtime.
• Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Conduct quality inspections and address production defects.
• Maintain production records and performance reporting.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
• Foster a positive and high-performing team culture.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience within a Plastic Injection Moulding environment.
• Experience as a Die Setter, Tool Setter, Leading Hand, Production Supervisor, or Injection Moulding Supervisor.
• Strong understanding of injection moulding processes and machine troubleshooting.
• Experience managing quality control processes within manufacturing.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory capability.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to workplace health, safety and continuous improvement.
