Job Details
  • Pay: $35/hr + Super
  • Start: Immediate start for the right person
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning and treating metal parts, frames, and machinery using sandblasting, chemical cleaning, or grinding techniques.
  • Remove rust, grease, and dirt to ensure proper adhesion of powder coating.
  • Apply powder coating using electrostatic spray guns, ensuring even and consistent coverage.
  • Select appropriate powder types and colours based on job specifications.
  • Operate industrial curing ovens to heat-bond coatings, ensuring a smooth and durable finish.
  • Inspect finished products for defects such as uneven coating, bubbles, or missed areas.
  • Rework items as required to meet quality standards.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and guidelines when handling equipment and materials.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in powder coating or a similar industrial finish role.
  • Broad knowledge of coating techniques, materials, and curing processes.
  • Ability to operate industrial machinery and handle chemical pre-treatments safely.
  • Experience within manufacturing, automotive, or infrastructure environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality output.
  • Physically fit with the ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Leadership potential or an interest in taking on senior responsibilities in the future.
