Technical Business Analyst – Initial 6 months contract – Up to $1000 per day – Sydney CBD Based (2-3 days in office)

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a large-scale enterprise data migration program within the financial services sector. This role will play a critical part in the end-to-end migration of data from legacy systems to AWS, ensuring business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions and delivered with precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and solution architects to gather, analyse, and document detailed requirements for data migration initiatives
• Translate complex business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
• Work closely with engineering teams to support the design and implementation of data migration strategies to AWS
• Analyse legacy data structures and map them to target AWS-based architectures
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and backlog grooming sessions
• Identify data quality issues and support data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation processes
• Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle
• Support testing activities including SIT, UAT, and data validation
• Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies related to data migration activities

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within large, enterprise environments
• Strong track record delivering end-to-end data migration projects, involving legacy system modernisation
• Hands-on experience working with AWS
• Experience within financial services
