About the Role
- Oversee site operations in a high-volume food manufacturing environment
- Report directly to the Site Manager, taking full ownership of operational performance
- Optimise results across safety, quality, service, and cost metrics
- Execute production schedules efficiently, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
- Promote a proactive safety culture and uphold strict food safety standards
- Lead continuous improvement projects and support automation advancements
- Develop, mentor, and inspire a high-performing operations team
- Lead day-to-day production and site operations
- Deliver KPIs and service levels
- Ensure full compliance with WHS, HACCP and GMP standards
- Drive initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste
- Partner with Engineering to maximise plant uptime and right-first-time performance
- Develop, coach and mentor production leaders and frontline teams
- Manage labour planning, workforce performance and engagement
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Technical, Logistics and Supply Chain
- Lead change management and process improvement projects
- Manage union and key stakeholder relationships where required
- Senior leadership experience within FMCG, food production or manufacturing
- Proven track record of driving operational and cultural improvement
- Demonstrated experience improving operational performance, increasing efficiency and delivering measurable business results
- Experience managing budgets and delivering cost and margin improvement
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP and WHS legislation
- Experience with WMS, TMS and operational reporting systems
- Relevant degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or Supply Chain (highly desirable)
- Strong commercial leadership capability with proven experience running and leading performing teams
