Salary: $83,625 inclusive of super
Type: Permanent, full time
The Role
The Event Crew Leader is responsible for leading and supporting the preparation, installation, and dismantling of event infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to, crowd control barriers and ground protection systems.
The role ensures the safe and efficient delivery of projects across both warehouse and event site environments. This includes maintaining equipment, preparing stock, executing installations, and ensuring all work aligns with company procedures and safety standards.

The Role

Key Responsibilities Operational Duties
- Lead a small team in the preparation, cleaning, maintenance, and stock management of event equipment within the warehouse.
- Assist with the safe loading, unloading, and staging of equipment for upcoming projects.
- Lead and participate in the installation and dismantling of event infrastructure onsite in accordance with Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and company procedures.
- Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency across all stages of project delivery.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition and report any faults, damage, or maintenance requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate crew members during warehouse and onsite operations.
- Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and mentoring to crew members and new staff.
- Foster a positive team environment focused on safety, productivity, and accountability.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, team members, and other departments to support smooth project delivery.
- Identify and resolve onsite challenges where possible, escalating issues when required.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Actively contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with SWMS and relevant regulations.
- Undertake additional tasks as directed by management.
- Adapt to changing operational requirements and project needs.
Qualifications and Skills Essential
- Current First Aid Certification
- Strong work ethic with a professional and reliable attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate small teams in a hands-on environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to train and mentor crew members on the job.
- Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- High attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in time-sensitive environments.
- Adaptability and a positive approach to changing work conditions.
- Physical capability to undertake manual handling and demanding work.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (LF).
- General Construction Induction (White Card).
- MR Truck Licence.
- Experience in event construction or major event site operations.
- Experience in warehouse or logistics environments.
