Trainee Boning Room Production Planner / Supervisor

We are seeking a motivated and organised Trainee Boning Room Production Planner / Supervisor to join a fast-paced meat processing operation. This role sits at the centre of production, coordinating stock, planning daily output, and supporting the boning room team to ensure customer orders are delivered accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Coordination
  • Analyse stock on hand and incoming customer orders
  • Allocate product codes and stock to new orders
  • Plan daily production based on stock levels, shipping dates, and livestock supply
  • Coordinate the full boning production line to meet order requirements
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding load times and potential delays
Inventory & Product Management
  • Create and manage product codes
  • Develop product specification sheets when required
  • Organise secondary labels for approval
  • Manage packaging inventory and place packaging orders
  • Maintain understanding of all cuts, yields, and product codes (including ham numbers)
Commercial & Administrative Support
  • Assist with product costings and maintain product photos
  • Liaise with stock buyers regarding livestock required for upcoming orders
  • Process payroll for boning room employees
Leadership & Communication
  • Ensure clear communication across production, dispatch, and procurement teams
  • Demonstrate initiative, organisation, and attention to detail
  • Support smooth daily operations within a fast-paced environment
About You

  • Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing, meat processing, logistics, or production planning is advantageous but not essential
