Job Description
Are you a highly motivated AWS Cloud Engineer or SRE who thrives in high-pressure, enterprise environments?
We are seeking a technical leader to join a major financial institution to drive a critical Enterprise Data Project.
In this role, you will take ownership of modernizing legacy infrastructure into containerized cloud environments, ensuring our data platforms are scalable, secure, and cost-optimized. You will work closely with data engineering teams to provide secure access to complex data warehouses and streamline the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Key Responsibilitie
-Infrastructure as Code: Design and deliver large-scale Terraform projects to support rapid business expansion and environment consistency.+2
-Containerization & Orchestration: Migrate services from legacy servers to AWS ECS or Kubernetes environments using Docker with blue/green deployment strategies.
-CI/CD Leadership: Modernize and manage automated pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Concourse) to increase deployment velocity and efficiency.+3
-Enterprise Data Support: Implement secure access and SSO integrations for high-scale data platforms like Redshift and MongoDB Atlas.+1
-Security & Compliance: Lead IAM reviews, implement RDS encryption, manage credential rotation, and execute PenTest remediations to ensure a "security-first" architecture.+4
-Observability: Establish platform-wide monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana to measure SLIs and troubleshoot complex incidents.+2
Technical Requirement
-AWS Mastery: Extensive hands-on expertise with VPC, EC2, Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, and API Gateway.+1
-DevOps Tooling: Proficiency in Terraform, Linux, Bash/Python scripting, and Git-based workflows.+1
-Data Exposure: Experience supporting data engineering teams and managing secure connectivity to Redshift or similar enterprise data warehouses.
-Security Mindset: Practical experience with SSM, AWS Inspector, and implementing private subnets with VPC links for external access.
-Professional Background: Ideally 10+ years of commercial experience with a proven track record of acting as a technical lead or sole engineer for complex projects.
