Job Description
We are seeking experienced sheet metal workers and welders to join a busy fabrication workshop on afternoon shift. This is an opportunity to work on high-quality, precision components in a fast-paced production environment. Immediate starts are available for the right candidates.

- Operate break press and turret punch machines to cut, form, and shape sheet metal accurately to engineering specifications
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to fabricate parts to precise tolerances
- Perform metal finishing tasks including polishing, deburring, filing, and grinding to achieve smooth edges and surfaces
- Bend, fold, and assemble sheet metal components into subassemblies or complete products
- Ensure correct alignment, dimensions, and quality standards are met at all stages of production
- Maintain and calibrate machinery, monitoring tooling wear and adjusting machine settings as required
- Apply knowledge of materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper) to achieve optimal fabrication and finishing results
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metals including steel, stainless steel, and aluminium, ensuring structural integrity and weld quality
- Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, welding symbols, and material specifications
- Select appropriate welding techniques, filler materials, and machine settings based on material and design requirements
- Grind, polish, and finish welded joints to meet visual and dimensional standards
- Conduct quality checks on welds including visual inspection, alignment verification, and basic NDT if required
- Maintain welding equipment, monitor consumables, and report any defects or maintenance issues
- Adhere to safety standards including use of PPE, proper ventilation, and handling of hazardous materials
- Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication or welding in a production environment
- Strong technical ability with experience operating break press, turret punch, and metal finishing equipment
- Skilled in welding techniques (MIG/TIG), including setup, adjustment, and maintenance of welding machines
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and welding symbols
- High attention to detail, precision, and quality workmanship
- Knowledge of materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper) and their behaviour during fabrication and welding
- Reliable transport and valid driver’s licence
- Availability for afternoon shift consistently
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
