About the Role

A leading food production company based in Fairfield, NSW, is seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee daily packing operations. Reporting directly to the Packing Supervisor, you will lead a team of approximately 10–12 staff on the production line, ensuring repacking processes run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company goals. You will play a key role in supporting the Packing Supervisor, optimising schedules, maintaining the highest quality standards, and ensuring smooth operations across the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Packing Supervisor in managing daily packing operations.
  • Lead and coach team members, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve team goals.
  • Optimise rosters and schedules to ensure production targets are met.
  • Assist with hands-on packing and operational tasks as required.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and company procedures during all packing processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following company policies.
  • Assist with cold storage operations when required.
  • Operate forklifts (high reach or counterbalance) to support warehouse and production activities when needed.
Key Requirements
  • At least 3 years experience in repacking, production, or manufacturing environments.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory, team leader, or 2IC role is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong leadership, team engagement, and people management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and able to adapt to production demands.
  • Forklift licence (high-reach or counterbalance) is desirable.
  • Willingness to work in cold storage areas (experience preferred but not essential).
Hours
  • Typical hours are 7:00am–3:00pm Monday to Friday.
  • Work may occur within the broader 6:00am–5:30pm shift window.
