A leading Australian food manufacturer specialising in handmade gourmet finger foods and savoury snacks is seeking an experienced Baker / Savoury Pastry Chef to join their dynamic production team.
Based in Caringbah area, Sydney, the company supplies premium products to a wide range of clients, including hotels, caterers, government departments, sporting venues, convention centres, airlines, restaurants, cafés, clubs, and retail outlets.

About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing a variety of savoury pastries and breads, including pies, pasties, sausage rolls, and other baked goods.
They will work closely with the production team to ensure all products meet the company’s high standards for quality, taste, and consistency.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday day shift role offering stable hours and long-term opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce savoury pastries, doughs, and breads to recipe and quality standards.
- Operate bakery machinery, including mixers, sheeters, blockers, and ovens.
- Coordinate daily production runs and manage stock levels in their section.
- Monitor product quality and consistency across multiple product lines.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP and Food Safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised production area.
- Trade-qualified Baker or Savoury Pastry Chef.
- Experience in large-scale food manufacturing or commercial bakery production.
- Strong knowledge of pastry and dough types (shortcrust, puff, bread).
- Confident operating commercial or industrial bakery equipment.
- Reliable, motivated, and hands-on with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent understanding of HACCP and food safety practices.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Full-time, Monday to Friday day shifts – no weekend work.
- Competitive salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per year (depending on experience).
