Job Description

Role Overview:

As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing our Azure cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with a team of 3 other cloud engineers, contributing to greenfield projects and leveraging your expertise across on-premises and public cloud environments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with the team to implement and optimize Azure infrastructure and services.
  • Contribute to greenfield projects, from planning through to implementation and support.
  • Ensure security best practices are implemented across Azure environments, with a focus on firewalls and network security.
  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and management tasks using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical expertise and solutions.
  • Document processes, configurations, and procedures.
Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, specifically with expertise in Microsoft Azure.
  • Solid understanding of Azure services such as VMs, App Services, Azure SQL Database, Azure Active Directory, etc.
  • Experience in a full Microsoft shop environment, including on-premises technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of security principles and practices, especially related to firewalls and network security.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating on projects and initiatives.
  • Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-303) are preferred.
