Job Description

We’re looking for an organised and proactive Communications Assistant to join our busy Communications team on a full-time temporary contract.

This role is a maternity leave cover, starting immediately and running through to end of March, with the potential to extend.

You’ll work 7 hours per day, 5 days per week, split across our Ultimo and Parramatta sites (approx. 50% at each).


Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-level administrative support in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Coordinate meetings: book venues, prepare agendas, take minutes and manage follow-up actions
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports and customer feedback
  • Maintain administrative systems including CRM updates, group inboxes and general admin tasks
  • Support procurement and finance processes: draft briefs, obtain quotes, track purchases and maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist with the delivery of marketing and communications events and projects
  • Support onboarding of staff and contractors, and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
About You
  • Strong administrative experience in busy, high-volume environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail
  • Experience using CRM systems (essential)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and digital communication tools
  • A genuine interest in media and communications
